Each balance weighs ten pounds and is considered perfectly balanced when the sum of weights on it's left and right sides are exactly the same. You have placed some weights on some of the balances, and you have placed some of the balances on other balances.
Given a description of how the balances are arranged and how much additional weight is on each balance, determine how to add weight to the balances so that they are all perfectly balanced.

There may be more than one way to balance everything, but always choose the way that places additional weight on the lowest balances. The input file will begin with a single integer, N, specifying how many balances there are.
Balance 0 is specified by lines 1 and 2, balance 1 is specified by lines 3 and 4, etc Each pair of lines is formatted as follows:. WL and WR indicate the weight added to the left and right sides, respectively. Since balance 3 has nothing on it ,it's already perfectly balanced, and weighs a total of 10 pounds. Balance 2 has no other balance on it, so all we need to do is balance it by putting three pounds on its right side. Now it weighs a total of 16 pounds.
Balance 1 has balance three on it's right side, which weighs 10 pounds, so we just put 10 pounds on its left side. Balance 1 weighs a total of 30 pounds. Balance 0 has balance 1 on it's left side 30 poundsand balance 2 on its right side 16 poundswe can balance it by adding 14 pounds to the right side.

Don't get discouraged, though. You just need to know exactly what you're getting yourself into. Luckily, Business Insider recently spoke to Facebook global head of recruiting Miranda Kalinowski and VP of people Lori Goler to get a better sense of what it's like to interview at the Menlo Park, California-based company. Kalinowski notes that the process can vary based on what team you're being hired onto.
But across the board, she stresses that Facebook recruits individuals through a number of different channels, including the company's careers sitejob fairs at universities, conferences, and even TED Talks. Generally, recruiters will first screen you over the phone to cover some basics and make sure you're a real candidate. After that, Kalinowski says that recruiters hand over the hiring process to employees who might be working with you directly.
If you show promise, then you'll be invited to visit Facebook to check out the campus and go through four to six more interviews with some of your potential team members. Goler says that, ultimately, Facebook is looking to place people in positions that play to their strengths, and she has some simple advice for anyone who wants to work at the company:. Although Jane seems both interesting and pleasant, she is still unfamiliar to me, and this put me out of my comfort zone. Then this discomfort was enhanced by the camera, the assignment, and my self-conscienceness. As stated, this assignment made me surprisingly nervous.
However, the awareness that I might be blowing it made me more nervous, so when my nose started to itch right after the camera went on, I had a meltdown. Once the interview started, I was concerned about the time, and also about having the next question ready.
But I was aware of it at the time. On the plus side, I thought my questions were good and they worked well in the flow of information. I had prepared a strong list of main questions, with multiple follow-ups to anticipated replies to those main questions. I only used some of the follow-ups, depending on how Jane had answered.
This strategy worked well, and I got the information from Jane that I wanted. Plus, I thought it seemed fairly natural. We covered the bases I was trying to address. I also think I had empathy; I showed some emotion, and it was appropriate for the discussion. I had voice inflection, and I smiled. I think I put Jane at ease.
After watching the tape, I realized that I could have gotten more or better information from Jane by qualifying my questions: giving her some idea about what I already knew about her subject. Her resume, her Expert essay, and the links that she provided me beforehand told me quite a bit, and I followed some of those to learn more. Had I asked the questions from the perspective of a more educated audience, my questions could have gone deeper.A toy example is "Do siblings interact more or less on Facebook?
To solve that, one could think of 1 how to detect siblings, 2 how to quantify interactions 2 how to split the data e. What else could the interviewer expect? Are there more examples like this that anyone could share?
